Burr Group In the Community

The Burr Group takes great pride in its association with the world-renowned Children’s National Hospital. Corey Burr frequently sponsors blood drives at the hospital to help young patients. Dozens of donors have rolled up their sleeves and provided a life-saving gift to hundreds of seriously-ill children.

Corey has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Washington for more than 25 years, having served as President in 2000-2001. The organization promotes hands-on service to children in need in the region. He also serves as a Trustee of the Kiwanis Club of Washington Foundation, which financially supports a number of charities.

Corey serves as a trustee for the James C. Dulin Goodwill Industries Fund, which supports Goodwill of Greater Washington and its efforts to help people overcome challenges to build their skills, find jobs and grow their careers.

Burr Group team member Stephanie McGovern has been the Director of the Greg Gannon Canned Food Drive for over 15 years. She coordinates the pickup of canned food items that are donated by thousands of Washington, DC-area residents. More than 40 food banks benefit from the donations. To date, more than two million cans have been collected and distributed.

For decades, Burr Group team member Kathy Cravedi has supported The Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health, a residential facility that provides free housing for families who have brought their very sick children to NIH to participate in research projects. Kathy has worked tirelessly on initiatives to publicize the wonderful service that the facility offers.
The Burr Group has also given back to the community through its association with many other charitable organizations. Among them:
